2008 Cultural Competence and Civility Arts Community Outreach

Countrywide, multi-media arts dialogue initiative aimed at raising public awareness regarding the on-going issues with cross ethnic relations and promoting the need for a positive change in attitudes and social practices among individuals and their communities. Using a variety of innovative multi-media art forms, this project’s outreach involved communities in various regions to enhance the socio-cultural relations among Kyrgyz citizens in an interactive open dialogue about the existing issues of visible and hidden uncivil relations among the target groups and the critical role of cross-cultural competence and civility in the civil development of Kyrgyzstan.
