The project’s aim was to help adolescent children in orphanage homes and boarding schools to readapt to the demands of modern society and support their emotional and moral development despite growing up without parents. Weekly art workshops were aimed at encouraging disadvantaged children from area orphanages, to detect and promote their creative abilities and improving their sense of self, their self-confidence and trust into a bright future. Local artists used a variety of media - ceramics, painting, sculpture, video, photographу and performance - to develop a sense of confidence in the children about their ability to achieve in the creative sector. The exhibition featured creative works, including performing arts of local children and the participants of the children’s art workshops and was based on the symbolism of the Blue Bird - known in Kyrgyz childhood tales as the symbol of happiness.
